Why We Exist

We started Retreat Venues DR because we saw retreat leaders drowning in logistics. Miscommunications, cultural nuances, and the need to coordinate dozens of moving pieces — all on top of daily life — were draining their time, energy, and creativity.

We support retreat leaders by simplifying every step of the retreat-planning journey in the Dominican Republic. From venue selection and retreat program localization to logistics and on-the-ground support, we handle the details so retreat leaders can focus on delivering a powerful experience.

Our purpose is to help create healing spaces for those who need them, to bring well-being closer to people, and at the same time to showcase the natural and human treasures that the Dominican Republic has to offer.

Isabel Martínez

With a background in hospitality management and a decade living across the Dominican Republic, Isabel founded Retreat Venues DR to bridge the gap between international retreat leaders and the island's extraordinary venues. She personally inspects every property in the collection.

Daniel Herrera
Experience Designer

Daniel Herrera

A marine biologist turned experience curator, Daniel designs the activity programs that make each retreat unique. From whale watching excursions to cacao ceremonies, he works with a network of local guides and artisans across all five destinations.

Carolina Reyes
Client Relations & Logistics

Carolina Reyes

Carolina is the single point of contact every retreat leader relies on. She coordinates ground transportation, vendor relationships, last-minute changes, and on-the-ground support to ensure every detail runs seamlessly from arrival to departure.
